Art Work By Mark Kistler
Over the last 30 years of my career as an author/illustrator/educator, I have enjoyed the creative process of illustrating several thousand drawings. Pen and ink with pencil shading has been my favorite medium, however, lately I've been working exclusively in pencil. 0.7mm HB to be precise. From time to time I receive inquiries interested in purchasing some of my original art work. Since you are on this web page, I thank you for your interest. You have nudged me to finally gather up a small collection of my favorite original pencil drawings to create this web gallery page. What a trip down memory lane this was! Some of my boxes of art work haven't been opened for over 12 years! Most of the drawings below have been specifically created for my childrens books. A few of the drawings where created for book projects that I have yet to complete, yes, even after 12 years I intend to finish these books. I forgot how fun some of these projects where, hidden in my art file boxes for over a decade! For sure this process has been re-energizing to my creative dreams. Re-invigorating my passion to Draw! Draw! Draw! Re-igniting my desire to create more imagination launching books for you my faithful readers. Thanks!
