Guestbook Highlights

Anie in Slough, England Your site is just so boom. I love it :) I have been on your website and I love it. It has got alot of clever things on it and it's excellent. I drew all the things like the fish, the treasure box, the pencil, and the squid. It was great fun. There was a supply teacher coming in our class and he told us this website and everybody said that it was great fun because everybody went on it. But for now ...pip pip cherio bye!

Justin in New York Mark, I watched Secret City religiously and read Draw Squad cover to cover, over and over when I was a little kid. I'm 21 now and I'm studying animation at college. I owe it to you. Thank you for instilling such a love of drawing in me and countless other kids all over the world throughout the years. You're a remarkable person, Mark. Thanks for everything.

Matt Barr from Kansas City MO, I am 32 years old and, as a child in the 80's, I was a HUGE Commander Mark fan! I cannot express my gratitude for his influence on my drawing style. When I look at certain drawings/painting, I am doing now as an adult, I can still see the lessons I learned from watching him draw that amazing space city. It was a great show and I wish I could get old episodes on DVD. Thanks Mark!!

Angie from Austin, Texas and Paris, France. Dear Mark, I had an art teacher in Austin who showed all of her classes your videos over 10 years ago and to this day, every single alumni of Bryker Woods Elementary remembers the flags, the sea monsters, and the happy dinosaurs we drew with you. Your work is a lasting influence on everyone touched by it! Cheers and keep it up!

Sophie from England, Your show is so cool. I love it so much and watch it every Monday :)

Divya from Canada Dear Mark, I read one of your how to draw 3-d book and it is so cool. I learned how to draw faces, hands, feet, the prince of pencil power, guitar ghost, moon mission, nice neanderthals, pencil pals, big mouth Bob and treetop tag. I wish I had more of your books because I just love them!

Sophie in England Your show is so cool! I love it so much every Monday :)

Linda Freiberg from North Lake School Hi Mark, I know this thank-you is late, no excuses, and March madness....BUT I wanted to thank-you personally for joining us at North Lake School. We, meaning all parents and kids, were so excited about your visit to our school. The smmmmmmmmmmoched twinkie was a hit. I will be encouraging students to come to Artist and Display for the summer drawing experience. too. One of my students even mentioned Kids Fest at State Fair Park. Just so you know that you were a hit !!! It was great to see you again, meeting your friend Randy and most of all to see you caring about the arts/drawing for kids. I always remember what Ramona, a retired art teacher from the Arrowhead Highschool, Hartland said way back when...." if a student can draw they can spread their wings and do anything" !!!! Meaning once again that gained confidence / self esteem is so important to accomplish their dreams. Thanks for the visit and magic of turning kids on to drawing 3D.
Linda Freiberg - NLS
Hope to see you this summer surrounded by children at Artist and Display...later...L

dmhome Your site has very helpful resources for me and my friends. Thank you! Thank you for this wonderful place we can visit!

Megan from Westbrook, Maine I just wanted to thank you for all the years of teaching art! I have watched you ever since I was a baby and now in college I still watch your shows. I have taken some college art classes and I still like to refer back to your shows and your site for inspiration and help. I was lucky at a young age to see you in person at an assembly and recommend it to any art teacher and school districts. It was informative and most of all it was fun! My professor asked us to write about an important/famous artist and all I could think of was you and your work. I am writing the paper about you and about your great service to this country with your love of art. Again Thank You!!! Remember, Draw! Draw! Draw!

Forum Kiss you! I think this is the best site in the net I have ever visited! Really, very nice site. I check it regularly!

Alan from New Hampshire You are so cool that you have cool left overs for later on! You are a true inspiration to the passion of cartooning! I've been "draw draw draw"ing for a long time and am actually starting to create art for some children's books, video games, logos, and the like... it's an uphill struggle having so many "art attacks" but living the life of an artist... well, you know there is just nothing so cool. God loves artists, just think how he lends us the power to create! Keep up your coolness and inspiring others!!!

Ernie from Singapore I love this website!!! It's so cool. The drawings are simple and easy to follow. Keep it up!

Your Art Student from Nebraska, Lauren E. Dear Mark, My brother and I really enjoyed you lesson at our school (St. Stephen the Martyr) on February 10th. It was the funnest art lesson and assembly we have ever had. You had given me a book and signed it for me and I thank you for that too and I have already drawn just about everything in it. You really encouraged me to draw more and now I have been drawing and taking lessons on your website non-stop. And all the things you said like "Author Illustrator dude" was all I was thinking about while I was drawing. I don't know how to put in words how much fun I had and how much I enjoyed you coming all the way from Texas. Now I look at pictures and think how would this look in 3D??????????????? Thank you so so so so so much for that.

PS: You were really great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Orianna in Fort Wayne, Indiana I see that you are coming to teach here soon. I wish to encourage you and to say that the impact you have on children is long lasting. Nearly twenty years ago our son drew all sorts of imaginary cities. I can still hear him humming "shade, shade, shade, I love to shade". This spring he completed his Master's degree in Painting. Thank you. May you continue to enjoy sharing art.

Tyler - age 19 Dear Commander Mark, I wanted to write to you because when I met you I felt that I didn't really say much. I was nervous, I guess. I grew up watching your show everyday. It was amazing meeting you in person when you visited Scooteney Springs Elementary in Othello, Washington. You signed and gave me a piece of paper... That's how I found your e-mail address... But I really wanted to say that you've been a major influence in my life. Drawing will be something that I will continue to enjoy well into my elder years. That's a gift that few people could give me. So thank you. Thank you so much, and I'll keep your autograph forever.

Galadriel in Murfreesboro,TN Hello, I just wanted to tell Mark how much his show means to me. I started watching his show when I was like 9 or so. And it really got me into drawing. I had been drawing my whole life mind you. but after I learned to draw in 3d I wanted to draw for a living. I'm 20 now and I'm drawing comics and doing artwork for books, and even selling my artwork. So thank you so much Mark for sharing your love for art with others! Peace and may the stars shine on your path where ever it leads!

Chelsea from Kalkaska, MI I love your show. I watch it all the time when I'm not busy! I think it's so cool that you want to help people learn what you can teach them and what you can do with your career! You are so sharing of your knowledge! If I knew as much about drawing as you do I would share my knowledge too!

Thank you so much for offering the tools for young minds to explore the wonderful world of art. It is such a pleasure to pass this on to the next generation. Thank you for still being out there for kids today!
