Acclaimed art educator Mark Kistler of Public Television's "Mark Kistler's Imagination Station" will teach a week-long drawing in 3-D workshop. Children will have daily dynamic drawing
lessons progressing through a series of five amazing pencil power adventures. Each day, Mark will explore a different theme of creative discovery, from medieval castles to undersea adventures, from lunar moon modules to drooling dinosaurs. This is a week your child will never forget! Mark Kistler has written 9 best-selling children's how-to-draw books, starred in 200 television episodes, and taught millions of children how-to-draw in over 18 countries around the world. He can teach your children too!
When: Monday to Friday, August 27 - 31
Daily Lesson Plan:
Sessions 1 and 3 "Draw! Draw! Draw!"
Session 2 "Beyond Pencil Power"
(Kids age 8 can sign up for BOTH "Draw! Draw! Draw!" and "Beyond Pencil Power" sessions for an additional fee!)
Lesson Themes:
Each class will be voting on specific lesson themes on the first day of class. Feel free to write your theme suggestions in the
"Comments" box on the registration form. Mark enjoys creating new lesson adventures based on students suggestions.
Each 5-day Summer Art Camp series features brand new lessons and great classic lessons created by Mark Kistler over the past 30 years of his teaching career. Your genius creative children will have the opportunity to vote on different exciting learn-to-draw in 3-D themes like "King Arthurs' Camelot", "The Great Undersea Adventure", "Awesome Australian Animals", "Dynamic Drooling Dinosaurs", "Radical Robots of Planet Pluto...(ooops, Dwarf rock in space Pluto)", "Mermaids of Mesopotamia", "Space Hamsters", "Furry Fat Cats", "Unicorns and flying trolls", "Multi-eyed Monsters", "Planet of Penguins", "Tree root city", "Secret Cities", "Underground Furbleville", "Scrolls, Flags, and cool flapping banners", "Tree's, Flowers, Plants, and the bugs that RULE!", "Ants wearing pants", "Mighty Marshmallow Monsters", "Awesome Australian Animals", "King Tritton's Undersea Towers", "Big Bug-Eye Bugs", "Penguins, Polar Bears and Ice Mice!"...and many more. Why:
Because learning how to drawing 3-D builds important creative thinking skills, powerful problem solving skills, and a solid foundation for future art success (careers in children's book illustration, digital 3-D game design, digital 2-D and 3-D animation). Many of Mark's alumni students are successful digital game designers and animators with resume projects including Shrek, Madagascar, Bugs' Life, Toy Story, Marvel Comics, Leapfrog Toys, etc.

Times:
Session 1 "Draw! Draw! Draw!": 3:30pm - 4:30pm 5 -8 year olds
Session 2 "Beyond Pencil Power": 5:00pm - 6:00pm 8-14+ year olds
Session 3 "Draw! Draw! Draw!": 6:30pm - 7:30pm 14+ year olds

Mission: Over the past 20 years we have donated over 200 episodes of quality children's art education television programming to PBS stations around the country. To help raise the funds needed to create, produce, and distribute (via satellite) the television shows, we offer these Summer workshops and Mark Kistler elementary school assemblies. Thanks for supporting our mission to continue producing imagination enriching children's art education television programming. Children who learn to draw in 3-D, learn to think and live creatively. "Teaching the world how to draw in 3-D, one child at a time."

Cost: $89 first child, $69 additional siblings, Home Schoolers, Foster-Adoption Families, and single parents. Parents and Grandparents are FREE and encouraged to participate, space permitting. Teachers are welcome and free with a paid student registration. All art supplies needed for the class are included.
Double your fun! 8 year olds have the option to register for both a "Draw! Draw! Draw!" (session 1 and 3), and/or "Beyond Pencil Power" (session 2) for $178 per first child, $138 per additional sibling. That's 2 hours of drawing fun with Mark Kistler every day. See the lesson plan above.
Parent Participation: Parents, grandparents, guardians are free and encouraged to participate! Parents are required to stay on site for ages 5-7 classes. All parents please plan on staying on site in the class with your kids for Mark Kistler's welcome and art camp introduction, thanks! Please no curb drop-offs. Thank you for helping insure the safety of your children.
Scholarships: A limited number of full-scholarships and 50% scholarships are available for single parents, foster-adoption parents, and families needing special consideration. Please send an email to info@markkistler.com.
